Where is my body?

Where is my body?

Most of us spend the largest amount of time living from the neck upwards. We think, analyse, plan, perform, and repeat this process over and over again, often without breaks. No wonder stress, disconnection and overwhelm present as the most common complaints of modern-day professionals.

It is often only when our cognitive functions start to affect our efficiency that we begin to ask what could possibly be wrong with my body?

By that time point though, the body has seen battle for way too long, and a myriad of alarm signals went unnoticed or ignored. This is the point at which most people seek out help and end up in my practice.

At first, clients are often not aware of how they breathe, how they carry themselves, or what it feels like to finally let their shoulders relax. It takes a couple of questions and suggestions to help them become curious about their bodies: discriminating the different sensations and signals in the body is a first step towards understanding the language of our body.

In sessions like these, you’ll notice that over time, through gentle touch, attuned breathwork and deeper bodywork, you begin to recognize patterns and notice what helps you feel more grounded, present and at peace within yourself. The simple tools and practices you discover in this way help you navigate the demands of the world around you, while now, staying more connected with yourself.

Our approach respects the individual pace and boundaries of each body, while it is being held in presence. You feel safe to explore with curiosity what your body communicates to you and in that way you develop a greater sense of agency and competence in your life.

Depending on the level of relief you are looking for, I offer three modalities: a flowing full-body massage for rapid relief and relaxation, deeper bodywork to let go of long-held tensions in the body, and a pattern shift modality to help you break through unhealthy habits.

Curious? I’d be delighted to have a chat with you about what you need most:
